Hi, my name is Sarah. I am a wife and a mom, as well as a mathematician. I have a Master’s degree in math and hope to go back for a Ph.D. someday (you know, when the kids are in school). In the meantime, I want to keep my mind and skills sharp, so I started this site to help with that, and also to help make math more accessible to others.
My philosophy is that math does not have to be as anxiety-inducing as many people make it out to be. I don’t believe you even have to be particularly smart to be successful in math, but you do have to be willing to put in the work. If you put in the right amount of work, get the help you need, and don’t give up, then you CAN be good at math, or at least good enough. So don’t be afraid to ask any question, I don’t judge anyone for their lack of knowledge on a particular topic. My goal is to have this be a place where everyone supports and learns from each other.
